Create Your Account
Before you can list a vehicle and start earning, you’ll need to create your Car Owner account, verify your identity, and connect a payout method. Here’s what to expect at each step.
Provide Personal Information
To create your Car Owner account, you’ll provide:
- Your full name, email with a one-time code (OTP), and a password
- Your mobile number, which you’ll verify with a one-time code (OTP)
- Your date of birth and Social Security Number (SSN)
- Your residential address
Once your mobile number and e-mail are verified, you’ll move on to identity verification.
Identity verification: Personal ID (KYC)
To keep the platform safe for everyone, we need to confirm you are who you say you are. This is a standard Know Your Customer (KYC) check, and it takes just a few minutes:
- Personal ID — Capture your personal ID using your camera.
- Live selfie — Take a live selfie so we can match your face to your ID and confirm you’re a real person completing the registration yourself.
Your information and documents are securely routed to our identity verification provider for review. You’ll be notified once your verification is complete — until then, some account actions may be limited.
Payment Setup
Before any vehicle you list can go live and start earning, you’ll need a connected payout method. Car Owner payouts are handled through Stripe, so you’ll complete a short Stripe onboarding flow to:
- Connect your bank account or preferred payout method
- Confirm the details Stripe requires to enable payouts
Once your payout method is connected and approved, your vehicles are eligible to move to active status and start receiving reservations. You can revisit this step anytime from your profile if your payout details ever need updating.
