FAQ

Partner with RNTLS to offer your customers seamless replacement vehicle rentals while their cars are being serviced.

Car Owner

The platform supports separate roles for customers, car owners, and shop owners. Each role has its own dedicated portal and app experience but you have to use different emails, as the email is unique across the system.

No — standard bookings are auto-accepted. You’ll be notified immediately, and the reservation will be added to your queue for preparation.

Your payout is based on eligible rental days (plus approved extension days) minus the platform commission and any approved deductions. Payouts are transferred once the rental reaches financial close, according to your payout schedule.

Create your account with your basic details, verify your mobile number, complete identity verification (KYC), and connect a payout method — all required before you can list a vehicle.

You can only file a damage report within the configured reporting window after the customer’s return. After that window closes, you won’t be able to submit a new report for that rental.

Your vehicle must meet the current maximum age and mileage standards. You’ll also provide the VIN, odometer reading, license plate/registration, vehicle details, and the required set of photos

You’ll be notified right away. Depending on whether the vehicle is drivable, the rental may continue, move to a replacement, or return early. Your vehicle typically moves to an Under Maintenance state if the rental closes as accident-related, and your security hold/payout stay pending until RNTLS Administration makes a fault decision.

Customer

Sign up with your basic details and verify your mobile number with a one-time code (OTP). You’ll then complete identity verification and add a payment method before you can book.

If you return the vehicle after your agreed return time, a late fee applies based on the configured hourly/daily rate, and it’s deducted from your charges or security hold.

Report it in the app right away. If the vehicle is drivable, you may be able to continue the rental, request a replacement, or return the vehicle. If it’s not drivable, you’ll request a replacement or return it. Evidence you submit is reviewed before any fault or compensation decision is made.

After a shop reserves a vehicle, the customer receives an SMS/Email with a link to activate the rental. The link is valid for 48 hours. If it expires, the car status returns to Active.

A security hold is placed on your payment method when you confirm your rental. It stays in place through the rental (including any approved extensions) and is released once your return is inspected and found to have no issues.

You’ll capture the front and back of an ID document and take a live selfie so we can confirm you’re a real person and match you to your ID. This is a standard security check required before you can rent.

Yes — if you return early, your billing is recalculated based on the days you actually used, and any unused prepaid rent or RAP is refunded or credited back to you.

General Questions

Shop Owner

Yes — you can create sub-users and assign them a role that controls their permissions across rent management, financials, user management, incident/replacement visibility, and shop-profile access.

You can request an extension for an eligible active rental. If a customer requests one instead, you decide whether your shop covers the cost — if you decline, the customer is asked to accept or reject responsibility themselves.

Start a new rental request, look up the customer by email (or add a new one manually if they’re not found), select an available vehicle for your dates, set the pickup time and location, and submit.

Reach out to RNTLS to express interest — through the website form or a direct call. RNTLS Administration then sets up your shop account, and you’ll receive an invitation email to set up your portal access.

Your billing cycle is calculated at the start of each rental, once the customer accepts it — this generates the invoices for that rental. If a rental ends early, your billing is recalculated, and any unused amount is refunded.
