Set up your account
Your Shop Owner account works a little differently from a Customer or Car Owner account — since it’s created for you rather than self-registered. Here’s exactly how to get started, step by step.
Get an invitation to join as a shop owner
Step 1 — Reach out to RNTLS. Before anything is set up, you’ll first express interest in joining as a Shop Owner. You can do this in one of two ways:
- Submit the sign-up form on the RNTLS website, or
- Contact RNTLS directly by phone for a direct call.
Step 2 — RNTLS sets up your shop account. Once your interest is confirmed, RNTLS Administration creates your shop account behind the scenes and records your shop’s location in the system.
Step 3 — Check your email for your invitation. You’ll receive an invitation email to join the shop portal. Inside that email, you’ll find:
- Your username
- A temporary password
Step 4 — Log in and secure your account. Use your username and temporary password to log in to the shop portal for the first time. Since it’s a temporary password, you should change it to a permanent one of your own right away from your account settings (see “Changing your password” below) — this keeps your account secure and makes sure you’re the only one who knows your login credentials going forward.
Once you’re logged in, the portal navigation will only show you the functions available to your role — any menu items or actions you’re not authorized for will be hidden or disabled.
Completing your shop profile
After your first login, you’ll need to complete your shop profile before you’re fully set up. This typically includes:
- Your shop’s core details (such as name, location, and contact information)
- Account-security information, including setting your permanent password
- Any other permitted profile fields for your shop
You’re not locked into what you enter at this stage — you can return to your profile at any time from the portal to review or update these details as things change.
Setting up your payment method
The last step to complete your account is adding a payment method — this is required, and you won’t be able to fully finish setup without it.
- This payment method is what your shop’s rental charges will be billed to going forward.
- If it’s the first payment method you add, it’s automatically set as your default — you don’t need to do anything extra to select it.
- You can add additional payment methods later and switch your default at any time from your payment settings.
Once your profile is complete and your payment method is set up, your Shop Owner account is fully active and ready to start creating rental requests.
