Listing Your Vehicle

Once your account and payout method are set up, you’re ready to add a vehicle. Here’s everything involved in getting a vehicle listed and live on the platform.

Vehicle eligibility requirements

Not every vehicle can be listed. Before you start, make sure your vehicle meets the current standards for:

  • Maximum age — Vehicles older than the configured age limit aren’t eligible for new listings.
  • Maximum mileage — Vehicles above the configured mileage limit aren’t eligible for new listings.

These standards can be updated over time. If you already have an approved vehicle listed, a later change to the standards won’t automatically affect it — but any new vehicle you submit is checked against the current requirements.

How to add your vehicle

To create a new listing:

Step 1: Scan VIN and Odometer

  • VIN — Scan it with your camera or enter it manually. We’ll look up your vehicle’s details automatically from the VIN.
  • Odometer reading

Step 2: Add Vehicle details

  • License plate and registration expiry
  • Vehicle details — Year, make, model, category, and any facilities or features you want to highlight
  • Required photos — Covered in detail below

Each VIN can only be used once on the platform, so a duplicate VIN will be rejected. If you’re asked to make updates and resubmit, your VIN details are re-validated at that point too.

Step 3: Required vehicle photos guide

Every listing needs a consistent set of photos so renters — and our review team — can clearly see the vehicle’s condition. You’ll need to capture:

  • All four exterior corners of the vehicle
  • The rear of the vehicle, including the license plate and any badges
  • The instrument cluster, showing the odometer reading
  • The VIN tag
  • The seats and interior
  • The headliner (interior roof)

You can set any one of your uploaded photos as the Vehicle cover image shown on your listing.

Step 4: recall check

As part of onboarding, every vehicle automatically goes through a recall check. If the check comes back clear, your listing moves ahead in the review process as normal.

If a recall issue is found, your vehicle is placed into a blocked or pending state until you submit the required proof (such as confirmation the recall work was completed). Once you provide that proof, it’s reviewed before the vehicle can move forward.

RNTLS review & approval process

After you submit your vehicle, it enters our review queue. From there, our team will do one of the following:

  • Approve — Your vehicle moves toward Active status.
  • Reject — Your listing won’t proceed; you’ll see the reason provided.
  • Request updates — You’ll see a specific reason or comment, and can edit the flagged fields (specs, features, category, images, VIN/odometer corrections, etc.) and resubmit.

Even after approval, your vehicle only becomes fully Active once your payout method is connected and confirmed — approval and payout readiness both need to be in place before it can start receiving reservations.

How to Manage Vehicle

Once your vehicle is eligible and listed, you’re in control of its availability: [ activate, deactivate, or delete ]

  • Activate / Deactivate — You can toggle an eligible vehicle active or inactive at any time, unless it’s currently tied to a rental or reservation that prevents the change.
  • Delete — A vehicle can only be removed if it isn’t currently rented or reserved. If it is, you’ll need to wait until that rental or reservation is finished before deleting it.
  • Under Maintenance — If your vehicle needs repair (for example, after an accident), it may be placed into an Under Maintenance state. There’s a defined process to follow before it becomes available again — it won’t show up for booking until that’s complete.
