Editing your shop profile

You can go back into your shop profile at any time and update it as things change — nothing here is locked in permanently after your initial setup.

What you can typically update:

  • Shop details — such as your shop’s name, address/location, and contact information
  • Account-security information — including your login credentials and security settings
  • Any other profile fields your account is permitted to edit

How to update it:

  1. Go to your shop profile from the portal menu.
  2. Select the section you want to update (shop details or account-security information).
  3. Make your changes and save — updates take effect immediately.

Why keeping this current matters: your shop’s location isn’t just informational — it’s used as the default pickup address whenever you or an authorized sub-user creates a new rental request. If your shop moves or your contact details change, updating your profile keeps that information accurate for every new rental going forward (it won’t retroactively change rentals already created). Outdated contact information can also mean missed communication from RNTLS or from customers trying to reach your shop.

Depending on your account setup, you may make these edits yourself, or a sub-user with shop-profile access permission may be able to edit certain fields on your behalf — access to this screen is controlled by the role and permissions assigned to each user on your account.

Changing your password

You can change your password directly from your account settings while logged in — this is the recommended way to update it any time you want, not just when something’s wrong.

To change your password:

  1. Go to your account settings from the portal menu.
  2. Select the password/security option.
  3. Enter your current password to confirm it’s really you.
  4. Enter your new password, and enter it again to confirm it.
  5. Save your changes.

Your current password is validated before the change goes through, and your new password and its confirmation must match — if either check fails, you’ll be asked to try again before the update is applied.

Good habits to keep in mind:

  • Change your password if you ever suspect someone else has your login details.
  • If you were given a temporary password when your account was first created (see “Get an invitation email” above), make sure you’ve already replaced it with a permanent one of your own.
  • Avoid reusing a password from another account.

If you’ve forgotten your password and can’t log in, RNTLS also supports a secure, time-bound password-recovery process sent to your registered contact channel (email or mobile) — follow the link or code you receive to set a new password. This recovery link expires after a limited time, so complete the reset promptly once you receive it.

Managing payment methods

From your payment settings, you can:

  • Add a new payment method
  • View your existing payment methods
  • Remove a payment method, where permitted
  • Select which method is set as your default

Keeping an active, valid default payment method on file helps make sure your rental creation and billing go through without interruption.
