Review Rent & Transaction History
Once a rental is complete — or even while it’s still in progress — you can go back and review everything tied to it: past trips, any reports that were filed, and every dollar charged or refunded along the way.
Rent history, vehicle damage reports, and accident reports
From your rental history, you can open any past rental to see its full record: dates, locations, status, activity timeline, and any evidence or reports connected to it.
- Rent history — See a list of all your past rentals. Open any one of them to view the details, including its return photos, activity log, and current status. If a summary view only shows your most recent entries, look for a Show all option to open the complete history you’re permitted to see.
- Damage reports — If a damage report was filed for one of your rentals, you can view its details from that rental’s record, including what was reported, the evidence submitted, and where things currently stand — for example, whether a fault or compensation decision has been made yet.
- Accident reports — If you reported an accident during a rental, you can review what was submitted, including whether the vehicle was marked drivable or not drivable, the injury/drivability answers you gave, your evidence, and any follow-up notes or linked replacement tied to it.
Every entry in your history is timestamped and role-appropriate, so what you see reflects exactly what happened and when, in the order it occurred.
How long things stay available: Closed rentals stay visible in your history along with their linked evidence, transactions, invoices, and reports, subject to RNTLS’s retention rules and permissions. Keep in mind that rental photos specifically are generally retained for a limited period (30 days by default) unless they’re linked to an open claim — so if a damage or accident report is tied to your photos, that evidence is kept for as long as the claim needs it, even past the normal window.
This means you can always look back at how a rental was handled — but if you think you might need a photo for reference later (for example, while a claim is still open), it’s worth keeping your own copy just in case.
Understanding your invoices & receipts
Every charge, refund, and adjustment tied to your rentals is documented and available for you to review.
- Transaction history — See every payment, hold, refund, and deduction tied to your account, with the amount, date, and status of each.
- Invoices — Each rental generates invoices covering things like the base rental charge, Roadside Assistance Package (RAP) or security hold, any extensions, late fees, refunds or adjustments, and incident- or damage-related charges.
- Invoice details — Opening an invoice shows you the rental and vehicle it’s tied to, a line-by-line breakdown of charges and adjustments, the total amount, and the related payment or refund reference.
- Downloadable receipts — You can download a PDF copy of any invoice for your records.
If a number in your history looks off, the invoice detail is the best place to check — it always reflects the same underlying transaction the rest of your account is built from.
